About Us

ATS was founded as a result of many years working within the industry as Engineers for the likes of GE and Datex Ohmeda. The opportunity to improve the service provided to NHS customers was identified and ATS was created with the vision to provide an alternative quality service provider to the manufacturers and to deliver competitive pricing without any compromise on service or patient safety. ATS have consistently improved levels of flexibility and responsiveness of service, working cohesively with hospital and theatre staff.

The ATS business continued to grow exponentially. As NHS hospitals were looking to save costs and improve the quality of service from their providers, the ATS reputation spread across the south of England and numerous major new contracts were won.

Significant fixed term contracts (3 & 5 year contracts) from some of ATS’s first customers were up for renewal and in spite of increased competition from the manufacturer and other 3rd party service providers, ATS were successful in retaining all their customers and all fixed term contracts were renewed.

After 10 years, the ATS reputation was fully established within the NHS with PPM contracts renewed at every tender. Newer contracts continue to be won and an outstanding service continued to be delivered to customers within the NHS, Private Clinics and Hospitals.

Given the growth of the business, a new site was secured to accommodate the ATS Workshop and Refurbished Equipment store. This move allowed ATS to keep stocks of a wider range of Loan Equipment to support their customers and to provide a more extensive range of ready to go refurbished stock items and consumables.

The first of ATS’s Specialist Veterinary Engineers was recruited to provide greater expertise within the animal field. In response to high customer demand, ATS expanded into Veterinary to support the repair and annual PPM maintenance of equipment.

With few trusted operators in the market, ATS began to use their experience and contacts to source used equipment for their veterinary clients. Equipment was located and bought to order, refurbished and then sold with a full warranty and service agreement.

Positive feedback from our veterinary customers on the intuitiveness and value for quality of the state-of-the-art Mindray Anaesthetic equipment, coupled with our engineers’ experience of the Mindray equipment in the field, lead ATS to develop a partnership as an official sales distributor in the UK. Specifically developed for the demanding veterinary environment, the Mindray progressive designs make use straightforward for clinicians to manage a wide range of patient types.

With customer satisfaction at the core of ATS’s success, ATS were delighted to continue 20 year partnerships and renew contracts again with all the customers who joined back when they launched in 2000. ATS are proud to maintain their 100% customer retention rates.

As an established service-based business it is important that ATS continue to plan for and invest in the future and build a culture of learning and development. As part of a wider succession planning programme, ATS recruited their first Apprentice, a fully integrated role which facilitates the growth of talent and development of a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce.

ATS launched their in-house Infusion Pump Servicing, performed by our expert certified engineers. Knowing how imperative it is to keeping all medical & veterinary equipment in top condition, properly calibrated, and in good working order, the servicing and repair of Infusion Pumps was a natural extension to the company’s offerings.

Building upon years of success in supplying high quality, refurbished and serviced equipment and consumables to our customers, the ATS online shop was launched. Our customers know they can buy equipment from other suppliers but told us they wanted the reassurance of the ATS Warranty and quality of service that comes alongside all of our sales. The online shop provided great transparency of the stock available and sales to-date have reflected this. 2025 sees ATS continue to commit to and invest in their future with the recruitment of their 2nd Apprentice Engineer.
